This Privacy Policy explains how Bethpage Tee Bot ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the Service:

Account information: Your email address and hashed password, used to authenticate you and communicate with you about your account.
Mobile phone number: If you choose to opt in to SMS notifications, we collect your US mobile phone number solely to send you tee-time alert messages.
Booking preferences: The facility, date, tee-time window, player count, and hole selection you enter when configuring the bot. These are used only to operate the bot on your behalf and are not retained beyond what is needed to display your session history.
ForeUp credentials: Your ForeUp email and password are used only during an active bot session to log in and complete a booking. They are never stored on our servers.
Payment information: We do not store your payment card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, who maintains their own Privacy Policy. We receive a record of your transaction (amount, date, status) but not your full card number.
Usage data: Basic session logs (bot start/stop times, booking outcomes) are retained to display your session history and to help us diagnose issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and operate your account.
To run the automated booking bot on your behalf.
To send you SMS alerts when the bot finds a tee time (only if you have opted in).
To process payments and maintain records of your access period.
To respond to support requests.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.

3. SMS Notifications

No sharing for marketing: We will never sell, share, rent, transfer, or otherwise disclose your mobile phone number, mobile opt-in data, or messaging consent information to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile information is used exclusively to deliver tee-time alert messages from Bethpage Tee Bot on your behalf.

Consent is campaign-specific: Your opt-in applies only to the Bethpage Tee Bot tee-time alert program. It is not bundled with consent to any other messaging program or third-party communications.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on how often the bot finds tee times matching your search criteria. You will receive at most one SMS per tee time found.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard SMS and data rates charged by your mobile carrier apply to messages you receive from us.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe immediately. You can also remove your phone number or uncheck the SMS consent box on your Account page at any time. Your mobile number and consent data will be deleted promptly upon opt-out.

SMS messages are sent using Twilio as our service provider. Twilio receives only the minimum data necessary to deliver messages and is contractually prohibited from using your mobile information for any other purpose. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We use Stripe for payment processing and Twilio for SMS delivery. These providers receive only the minimum data necessary to perform their services and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or a valid legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety or rights of any person.
Business transfer: If Bethpage Tee Bot is acquired, merged, or its assets are transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify registered users in advance of any such change.

In all other cases, your information stays with us.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Session history is retained for up to 12 months. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., payment records). Your mobile phone number is deleted immediately when you opt out of SMS notifications or remove it from your account.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including password hashing (bcrypt), HTTPS encryption in transit, and limited access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by logging into your account or contacting us. You may also opt out of SMS notifications at any time as described above. If you wish to delete your account entirely, contact us at [email protected].

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
